(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) are investigating a fatal shooting that happened overnight on Tuesday, Oct. 8 in Southeast Colorado Springs. According to CSPD, on Tuesday at around 3:30 a.m. officers were called to the 2600 block of Durango Drive near Hancock Expressway and South Academy Boulevard. When police arrived they found a man dead on the scene with an apparent gunshot wound. Police said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident and are working to identify a suspect. Durango Dr. is expected to be closed until noon.
