CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) is investigating a homicide on Peachtree Drive South in Southwest Charlotte. Investigators say officers responded to an assist Medic call for service on October 7th shortly before 11am when they discovered a man who was shot. Medic pronounced 24-year-old Curtis Lampkin deceased at the scene. CMPD says the case is active and ongoing. They are asking anyone with information to call 704-432-TIPS to speak directly to a homicide unit detective.
