BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Southern University Jaguars are traveling to Houston, Texas to face the Texas Southern University Tigers on Saturday, Oct. 12. After a 51-7 loss to Nicholls State University, the Jaguars have dropped to 2-3 overall. They are currently ranked second in the SWAC West. Southern football head coach Terrence Graves will speak with the media about the upcoming game against the Tigers. The Tigers won their last matchup against the Virginia University of Lynchburg Dragons, 28-10. Texas Southern is also 2-3 overall for the season and sitting in third in the SWAC West. The two universities started competing in 1949 and the Jaguars lead the series with a win-loss record of 50-22, according to Southern University Athletics.
