Three dead after helicopter crashes in Owen County

OWEN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) — Emergency officials responded in Owen County Monday night after a medical helicopter crashed in the area. State and local officials have confirmed the crash is deadly.
Three people were reportedly on board. They have been identified by the coroner as Gale Alleman, Bethany Aicken and James Welsh.
Officials say the crash happened just after 5:30 PM tonight near State Route 22, about two miles north of Owen County High School.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says the Bell 206 helicopter that crashed was Air Evac Lifeteam 133 out of Williamstown, Kentucky.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate.
The NTSB will be in charge of the investigation and will provide all updates.
