ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Another Walgreens in the Rochester area will be closing its doors. This one on Pattonwood Drive in Irondequoit. Officials with Walgreens confirmed this to News 8, and said the decision was based on profitability, adding they are no longer able to cover the costs associated with rent, staffing and supply needs at the main street store. "While it is not an easy decision to close a store, we will work to minimize customer disruptions," the company said in a statement. "We intend to redeploy the majority of our team members and offer our dedicated team members new roles at other locations." Neighbors express growing frustration over pending West Main St. Walgreens closure This comes just two weeks after Walgreens announced the closure of its store on West Main Street in the City of Rochester. That store is set to close for the same reasons.
