SAN MARCOS, Calif. (FOX 5./KUSI) -- A domestic violence suspect is in custody after a SWAT standoff lasted several hours Monday in San Marcos, authorities said. A large law enforcement presence was in the 2200 block of Flatiron Way, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department posted on X at 5:33 p.m. Brush fire north of Campo grows to over 280 acres; evacuation orders in place The sheriff’s department warned there would be increased activity in the area, including SWAT and crisis negotiation teams.
