Suspect in custody after SWAT standoff in North County

SAN MARCOS, Calif. (FOX 5./KUSI) -- A domestic violence suspect is in custody after a SWAT standoff lasted several hours Monday in San Marcos, authorities said.
A large law enforcement presence was in the 2200 block of Flatiron Way, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department posted on X at 5:33 p.m.

The sheriff’s department warned there would be increased activity in the area, including SWAT and crisis negotiation teams.
As of 9:21 p.m., the suspect was taken into custody safely, according to authorities.
