GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) - A local veteran lost his newly purchased home to a fire in August, and on Monday, American Legion Post 38 in Appleton stepped in with a $2,000 donation to help him rebuild his life. While the money can’t replace the personal mementos from Austin Prudom's first 25 years of life, the organization hopes it will provide some support as he works to get back on his feet.
