BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Traffic was at a standstill Monday evening along Highway 178 because of a pursuit that ended near the Mount Vernon exit. A Bakersfield Police Department spokesperson said officers were called to the area for a report of someone making threats to harm themselves and others. The person was placed into custody, officials said.
