The “Posta 3 Fire,” located off La Posta Road near Old Highway 80, broke out around 2:30 p.m. The blaze burned more than 75 acres nearly an hour later, according to Cal Fire San Diego. By 4:40 p.m., officials say the fire grew to more than 280 acres. Evacuation orders are in effect for some areas east and southeast of the flames. Evacuations are being conducted by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. A temporary evacuation point has been set up at the Golden Acorn Casino at 1800 Golden Acorn Way.
