HANFORD, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A woman was arrested in Hanford after she allegedly struck her neighbor multiple times with a piece of lumber and threw a chunk of concrete at his windshield, according to the Hanford Police Department.
On Sept. 26, at approximately 10 p.m., officers say they were dispatched to a residence within the 200 block of East Hanford Armona Road regarding a neighbor who attacked the reporting party and vandalized his car.
Police say Shania Graven allegedly struck her neighbor with a piece of lumber multiple times. The victim was injured due to the strikes.
According to police, she also threw a chunk of concrete at the victim's windshield, causing damage to it.
Police say Graven was located a few minutes later at her residence. Officers say they worked to de-escalate the situation and have her peacefully surrender but she refused.
Graven actively resisted the officers and assaulted them by kicking them, according to police.
She was taken into custody a short time later and was booked into the Kings County Jail. Police say she was on active supervised release for a previous assault with a deadly weapon case earlier in the year.
