Brush fire north of Campo grows to over 280 acres; evacuation orders in place

CAMPO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Fire crews are responding to a brush fire that started off La Posta Road north of the unincorporated community of Campo, Cal Fire said Monday afternoon.
The fire started around 3 p.m. and has jumped from 75 to about 280 acres by 4:30 p.m. Monday.
According to the San Diego County Emergency Map, evacuation orders are in place in the area of 3131 La Posta Rd. in Pine Valley. Evacuation warnings are in place in surrounding areas to the east and west. See map below.

A temporary evacuation site has been set up at the northwest corner of Golden Acorn Casino located at 1800 Golden Acorn Way in Boulevard. More information can be found at alertsd.org.
