HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - The 4th Annual Paper City Food Festival is set to return on October 19-20, 2024, bringing with it a weekend of diverse cuisine, local entertainment, and community connection. West Springfield movie theater adds motion seats Hosted by the Greater Holyoke Chamber and Invertir Holyoke, this much-anticipated event will take place on High Street at High and Suffolk, offering a family-friendly atmosphere filled with food vendors, live performances, and activities for all ages. This year’s festival will highlight the rich culinary diversity of the region, with over a dozen food vendors offering everything from gourmet street food to artisan desserts. Attendees can enjoy dishes from local favorites like El Paraiso Colombiano, Sweetera, and Tacos Pueblos, all while listening to live performances from local bands and artists, including The Basement Cats, the Holyoke Senior Center’s Senior Sing, and Last Minute. In addition to the food and entertainment, the Paper City Food Festival has a strong tradition of giving back to the community. Proceeds from this year's event will go to a Holyoke family impacted by cancer. In 2024, the festival is honoring local youth leader Rich Perez, who has been bravely battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. A special walk in support of Perez and his family will take place on Sunday, October 20, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to them. “We’re excited to bring the community together once again to celebrate our local food scene and support a worthy cause,” said Jordan Hart, Executive Director of the Greater Holyoke Chamber. “The Paper City Food Festival is not just about food; it’s about fostering connections and supporting local families in need.” Sponsors for the event include Sublime Systems and the USA International Sporting Complex.
