PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Warwick man was arrested on three charges following a hit-and-run accident Monday, according to Rhode Island State Police.
James Silvia, 55, of Warwick, was arrested at 2:22 this afternoon for allegedly causing an accident on Route 95 in Providence, and fleeing the scene.
Once in contact with police, he was suspected to be under the influence, and denied a chemical test.
The defendant was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
Silvia has been charged for driving under the influence, refusing to submit a chemical test, and failure to stop for an accident, resulting in damage to a vehicle.
