SOUTHAVEN, Miss. -- Three people were injured in a shooting in Southaven, Mississippi on Sunday, according to Southaven Police. Officers responded to the shooting in the 2900 Block of Cherry Drive where one person was found suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to Baptist Desoto for treatment. Police say while investigating the scene, two more gunshot victims arrived at Baptist Desoto Hospital. It was determined that the victims were connected to the South Cherry Shooting. "It was a shock to us," a neighbor said. One of the victims was transported to Regional One Hospital for additional treatment. The conditions of the shooting victims are unknown at this time. No charges have been filed. A WREG reporter went to the house where the shooting took place but no one there wanted to discuss what happened. However, multiple neighbors did say that they heard gunshots and saw a number of shell casings in the street in front of the driveway. "The kid next door apparently had been shot or was in a shoot out or something and he had run into the house," a neighbor said. "The neighbor across the street said, 'Yeah, it was gunshots and the kid ran in the house." The neighbor also said he got a look at a vehicle that was possibly involved. "I slipped to the kitchen window, looked out to see what it was and I saw a silver Dodge Journey pulling off," he said. This is an ongoing investigation.
