FRANKLIN, Ind. -- Police have arrested a 12-year-old student accused of making threats toward an intermediate school in Franklin. The Franklin Police Department said a 12-year-old boy was arrested Monday afternoon after making a threat aimed at Custer Baker Intermediate School. Police did not provide any specific information related to the alleged threats. FPD said the student was detained and transported to the Johnson County Juvenile Detention Center. FPD reassured the public that it would continue to investigate any school threats and make arrests when applicable. "We will continue to work closely with school officials and community leaders to ensure a complete and thorough investigation," FPD said in a news release. "The Franklin Police Department appreciates the support from everyone involved in the investigation and arrest. We will continue to work together to keep our children and our community safe. Rest assured; we will continue to make arrests where warranted." Last week, police arrested a 13-year-old student after investigating threats directed toward Edinburgh Middle School.
