ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Traffic was slowed Monday afternoon after multiple crashes - one of which was fatal - on Interstate 69 outside of Fort Wayne. Around 3 p.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff's Department responded to a motorcycle crash in the northbound lanes near the 319 mile-marker. That's by Hursh Road on the north side of the county. A woman riding the motorcycle was pronounced dead after the crash, according to Sgt. Adam Griffith with the sheriff's department. Investigators are working to determine the details. In a second crash, multiple vehicles collided around the 317 mile-marker, and three people were sent to the hospital with serious injuries, police said. According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the northbound lanes were shut down two miles north of Fort Wayne, near Union Chapel Road.
