(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man who was taken to the hospital following an early morning house fire in Colorado Springs on Monday, Oct. 7 was found to have a felony warrant, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). According to CSPD, officers traveling on Chelton Road noticed a large house fire in the 3500 block of Darkwood Place in southeast Colorado Springs shortly after 4 a.m. on Monday. When officers arrived at the home, they found a man in the backyard who was unresponsive. The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) responded and found smoke coming from multiple sides of the home. According to CSPD, the man was found to have a felony warrant for parole violation, though CSPD said no arrests have been made. One officer was checked for smoke inhalation and cleared without injuries. No one else was found inside the home, CSPD said.
