BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Buffalo man was convicted Monday for second-degree murder following the death of his girlfriend last summer, the Erie County District Attorney's Office announced. Savon Stewart, 30, was found guilty by the jury of intentionally causing the death of Jena MacDiarmid Beal, 37, by beating and stabbing her, the district attorney's office said. Police found Beal dead inside her apartment on the 3400 block of Main Street on Aug. 7, 2023. Arrest made in Main Street homicide Stewart faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison when he's sentenced in December. He remains held without bail.
