BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — O'Neil L. Robinson is the new principal at Donaldsonville High School, according to Ascension Public Schools. “Dr. O’Neil Robinson brings with him 26 years of dedicated service on the west side of our parish, a wealth of experience, and an unwavering commitment to student success. We are excited to welcome Dr. Rob to this leadership role and are confident that his passion and expertise will have a lasting, positive impact on the students, faculty, and the entire community of Donaldsonville High School,”  said Superintendent Edith Walker, Ed.D. He is a 1989 alumnus of Donaldsonville High. He earned his bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics from Southern University in Baton Rouge, master's degrees in supervision and administration education and pure mathematics. He also completed his doctorate in science and mathematics education. People can learn about East Baton Rouge Parish road projects at October meetings Robinson was an eighth-grade math teacher at Lowery Middle School and a secondary math teacher at Donaldsonville High School. He held leadership roles as assistant principal at both schools and, more recently, was associate principal at Donaldsonville High School. "My mission is to ensure that every student at Donaldsonville High School graduates ready for college and their future careers. When they step into the real world, they will be equipped to achieve great things. We will implement the highest standards of education to prepare them to become outstanding citizens of Donaldsonville, Louisiana,” said Robinson. “I want to express my gratitude — Donaldsonville is in my heart, and as a proud alumnus of Donaldsonville High, I am deeply committed to its success." Robinson is married to Dr. Calandra Robinson, and they have a daughter, Ayana Allen.
