ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Rochester police have made an arrest in relation to the Monroe Avenue shooting that left a security guard injured in September. Rochester Police responded to JD Oxfords on Monroe Avenue around 1:45 p.m. on September 26 and found a 37-year-old security guard who was suffering from at least one gunshot wound to the upper body. The man was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by AMR and treated for his non-life-threatening injury. According to police, the man was trying to break up a fight outside the bar when the suspect fired at least one round. Security guard shot during fight at Monroe Avenue pub After investigation, police identified 53-year-old Earl Dade as the suspected shooter. Dade was located on Edmonds Street and arrested. Dade has been charged with Assault in the second degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree.
