Murrieta Valley (5-1) The Nighthawks opened Big West Conference-North play with a 42-27 victory over Norco. Previous ranking: 2 Up next: Friday at Chaparral 3. Chaparral (5-1) The Pumas cruised past Vista Murrieta 55-28 in their Big West Conference-North opener. Previous ranking: 3 Up next: Friday vs. Murrieta Valley 4. Rancho Cucamonga (4-2) The Cougars edged Upland 10-7 in a battle of last year’s Baseline League co-champions. Previous ranking: 4 Up next: Friday vs. Ayala 5. Damien (4-2) The Spartans were dominant during their 45-10 Baseline League victory over Etiwanda. Previous ranking: 6 Up next: Friday at Upland 6.
