PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Gas prices have stayed steady in Rhode Island despite a rise in crude oil prices, according to AAA Northeast. The average gas price per gallon in Rhode Island stood at $2.97, 19 cents lower than a month ago and 68 cents lower than a year ago. Rhode Island’s average price is 20 cents lower than the national average. Strong U.S. jobs numbers and domestic oil and gas production are factoring in to this price as refinery production is outpacing demand. Categories: News, Rhode Island
