A coalition of community groups will host a public forum for community members to learn about the candidates running for the Jersey City Board of Education in the November 5, 2024 general election. The event will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on October 8, 2024 at Franklin L. Williams School – MS 7, 222 Laidlaw Avenue, Jersey City. The forum will feature seven of the eight candidates, representing two slates, along with two independents.Moderators will guide a discussion covering a range of topics, including the budget, school development, and community engagement. The event is open to the public and will be live-streamed on Facebook.
