MIDDLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - Police in central Wisconsin say they are searching for a suspect responsible for what is believed to be the armed robbery of a restaurant Saturday night. According to a release from the Middleton Police Department, officers responded at 8:42 p.m. to the Amber Indian Cuisine on 6913 University Avenue for reports of a strong-armed robbery. On the scene, officials say the restaurant employees reported that a white man wearing a brown hat, brown ski mask, yellow long-sleeve flannel shirt, and jeans came into the restaurant and took a tip jar from the cashier's counter. Sheboygan Police Department investigating incident that left bicyclist with “significant injuries” When employees attempted to confront the suspect, police reported that the man reached into a pocket and said he had a gun but no gun was ever shown. The suspect was said to be last seen leaving the restaurant on foot before getting into a vehicle at the intersection of Elmwood Avenue and Mayflower Drive. Anyone with information about this incident and who the suspect may be is asked to contact the Middleton Police Department of the Madison Area Crime Stoppers.
