FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - The Allen County Coroner has identified a 19-year-old as the victim of a recent shooting on the city's southeast side.
Monday, the man was identified as Preston Jermere Church from Fort Wayne. The coroner ruled his death a homicide.
Fort Wayne Police began investigating the shooting Thursday night in the 6000 block of Waycross Drive, near the intersection of Paulding and Hessen Cassel roads.
Church initially had life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The coroner determined his cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds.
