Driver faces OWI for crash on Clinton and Parnell; 1 in critical condition

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — An alleged habitual traffic violator faces an OWI charge after a crash north of downtown Sunday night that left another person in critical condition.

Fort Wayne Police said in an update Monday that 46-year-old Erin M. Keck was arrested and preliminarily charged with operating while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury, a Level 5 felony; being a lifetime habitual traffic violator, a Level 5 felony, and a misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated.
FWPD responded to the crash around 7:50 p.m. at the intersection of North Clinton Street and Parnell Avenue.
Upon arrival, police found a sedan that appeared to have run into a traffic pole after failing to yield and hit a truck. Police determined the sedan was driving south and struck the truck traveling north.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
