BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A number of efforts have started to help first responders in the wake of the unprecedented wildfires in western North Dakota. Additionally, several links and websites are available for those needing information and help for insurance and other needs. Below is a growing list of resources to check out. If you know of any that should be included, let us know at [email protected]. ______________________________________________________________________ Support Our Brave Ray Fire Department Heroes (GoFundMe Page): "We are hoping to raise funds so the Ray Fire Department never has to worry about paying for meals or beverages. Their hard work and bravery should be commended at all times, not just during a crisis. Additionally, it would give them funding to share with those in need throughout the year. Thanks for all you do RVFD!" Donate to Help Families Affected by North Dakota Wildfires (GoFundMe Page): "I'm the owner of Aloha Pet Services, LLC. My team and I always try our best to help the people in our community. Two huge wildfires broke out in Ray, ND, and Watford City affecting a bunch of people. We have clients in both places and would love to help them in any way we can. All the money raised through this GoFundMe will be used to buy pet food, water, and any other supplies we can offer to the families who have been affected by the fires." Questions about insurance: ND Insurance Department: "In the wake of wildfires over the weekend affecting parts of North Dakota, Insurance Commissioner Jon Godfread and State Fire Marshal Doug Nelson are reminding residents of the necessary steps to protect themselves and their property during the recovery process." If you are affected by the wildfires, you can read the department's recommended steps to take here. Close Thanks for signing up! Watch for us in your inbox.
