Uncover a 'dusty old box from the '30s' at the Bismarck library

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — For National Archives Month, the Bismarck Historical Society is hosting a special program.
The program, called "A Dusty Old Box from the '30s," will be in Meeting Room A in the Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library on Wednesday, October 9 at 6:30 p.m.
Amy Sakariassan, a cultural resources specialist, will offer a hands-on experience and examine the types of materials found at the North Dakota State Archives.

Sakariassen came across a forgotten box of Bismarck City records called "Records Found in Airport Storage Building" from the 1930s while working.
While uncovering the box, the information had a surprising range of local government activities and has the potential to answer and spark research questions.
