BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- The public can learn more about "the largest transportation infrastructure initiative ever undertaken in East Baton Rouge Parish" at four different meetings in October, according to the Office of Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome. These meetings are part of the MOVEBR Roadshow. At the meetings, residents can speak with the program management team and learn about any project updates within the MOVEBR Program. “These projects are touching every part of East Baton Rouge Parish—from North Baton Rouge to the southernmost areas of our parish. This program is about more than just transportation—it’s about strengthening our economy, engaging our local small businesses, and making Baton Rouge a more connected and accessible community for all our residents,” said Broome. Some MOVEBR projects that have either been started or completed include Plank Road improvements and the Ben Hur alignment at Nicholson Drive. "Roadshow attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the various stages involved in roadway improvements, from planning and design to construction and completion. This public outreach will showcase where current projects stand and what to expect next," said Broome.
