See where to donate Halloween costumes for children in, near Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- The 10/31 Consortium has been collecting and giving away costumes in Baton Rouge for 14 years and their mission continues this year while expanding to Donaldsonville.
The organization is asking the public to donate new or gently used costumes ahead of two giveaway days. Click here to find more than 30 costume donation drop-off locations throughout the Greater Baton Rouge area.
The first giveaway day starts at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 19 in Donaldsonville at the WAG Center. The next giveaway will start at 3 p.m. Oct. 20 in Baton Rouge at the Goodwood Library.
Any child in need of a costume can get one while supplies last on those days. Children must be present with a parent or guardian. Each family will also leave with a bag of Halloween candy to give out for trick or treating.
Fall festivals, Halloween events in, near Baton Rouge have live music, family fun
Later this month, the organization will celebrate with the Fifolet Halloween Festival from Oct. 24-27 in Baton Rouge. The festival events include the Halloween Parade, Costume Ball and 5k Pumpkin Run.
