ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - The coldest air of the season will settle into the region this week as temperatures spend most of their time in the 50s and 60s. Scattered lake effect rain showers will continue to pour across Western New York through this afternoon, but most will be dry. Increasing pressure should help bring out partial sunshine, but it will fight against lake moisture. Temperatures overnight fall into the 40s and it's a cold start to Tuesday. There will be a few more scattered rain showers around, but most are dry throughout the day. High temperatures are stuck in the 50s. We do the same on Wednesday. Skies clear out by Thursday. We should be dry with high pressure and a lack of jet stream activity Friday and Saturday.
