We have a cool start to the workweek after a cold front moved through Sunday afternoon. Although you didn't need that jacket or sweater yesterday morning, you'll want to get it back out for this morning, and you may want to keep it out for most of the workweek, too. Skies are mostly clear early this morning. We'll continue to see these mostly clear skies, eventually becoming mostly sunny after daybreak. Unlike Sunday, we will not be dealing with windy conditions, or an elevated fire danger today. After they tumble into the 40s through 8 AM, temperatures will slowly rise. We'll only reach the mid-50s by 10 AM and the 60s at noon. High temperatures today reach the mid-to-upper 60s, which are great temps for taking a nice bike ride! A chilly Monday morning sees temperatures in the 50s by 10 AM. We'll see mostly sunny skies around sunrise with a few clouds blowing off of Lake Michigan, but skies become quite sunny later in the morning. Have those sunglasses handy, you'll look cool in them too! Throughout this workweek, high temperatures will fluctuate between the 60s and 70s, with a warming trend starting on Friday. The warmest temperatures are reserved for the weekend, with highs in the upper 70s then. There are some slight rain chances on Sunday and Monday, which hopefully at least some relief as our drought conditions persist. Drought continues across the area. The forecast remains unfavorable for much drought improvement. Looking ahead to next week, we get slapped back to October reality, with temperatures plummeting back into the 60s. Today: Mostly sunny and cool.High: 67°Winds: NW 5-10 mph Tonight: Mostly clear.
