TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Three young adults were arrested late Saturday night after a shooting at a party in Tulare County, the Tulare County Sheriff's Office announced. Deputies say just before 12 a.m. they responded to a home in the 38700 block of Road 144 in Yettem, north of Visalia, for shots fired at a large party. Upon arrival, responding units reported hearing additional gunshots coming from the party followed by screaming and yelling. Deputies say they were directed to the man who had been shot and was eventually transported to a local hospital. Investigators learned the victim was one of several men who confronted three gang members for bringing guns to the party. The victim had no ties to gangs. 20-year-old Jacob Salinas of Porterville18-year-old Mathew Mejia of Visalia18-year-old Daniel Tanguma of Porterville As a result of the investigation, detectives report 18-year-old Daniel Tanguma of Porterville, 20-year-old Jacob Salinas of Porterville and 18-year-old Mathew Mejia of Visalia were arrested. Evidence linking them to the shooting was found at the scene. Deputies say all three males were booked under suspicion of attempted murder charges and various firearm charges.
