CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The Cranston Police Department said a Providence Police Department prisoner transport van was involved in a crash outside the Adult Correctional Institutions on Sunday. Police responded to New London Avenue around 2 p.m. for reports of a crash involving a prisoner transport van and a second vehicle. The crash resulted in “minor damage,” and the six prisoners being transported in the van were taken to the hospital out of an “abundance of caution.” Categories: Cranston, News, Rhode Island
