WILLISTON, ND (KXNET) — The Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative has responded to multiple outages across its service area, and will continue to do so as they work to repair the damages caused by recent strong winds and wildfires. In some cases, power won't be restored for up to four days. Fatality confirmed in Ray area fires Below is a list of the current status of the cooperative's power network. Approximate number of poles damaged: 350 Services initially impacted: 1,759 Services currently without power: 334 The list of townships current affected by the power outages is as follows: Winner Athens Dublin Oliver Wheelock Champion Equality Golden Valley West Bank Pleasant Valley The above information is expected to change as crews continue to assess damage and restore power to members. Mutual aid crews from neighboring cooperatives will be assisting the group in restoration efforts beginning Monday, October 7th. Restoration for some members is expected to take up to four days.
