(BCN) -- The National Weather Service forecast for the greater San Francisco Bay Area for Sunday calls for hot, dry weather. Daytime highs will be mostly in the high 80s and low 90s in the Bay Area. "Temperatures which would be considered hot for July and August are here again," said KRON4 Meteorologist Dave Spahr. "Even at the coast, a heat advisory has been issued." Overnight lows will be in the low 60s on the coast, in the mid-60s around the bay, and in the high 60s inland. Excessive heat advisory warnings are in effect until Sunday night at 11 p.m. Hot, dry weather is expected, with a potential cooling pattern early in the upcoming week. "Late Monday, there is a shift in the winds that will bring relief," Spahr said. Copyright © 2024 Bay City News, Inc.
