Diversity represented a key theme Saturday as members of Iron Sharpens Iron and Higher Heights for America met for a Women’s Leadership Conference. Cooper’s Riverview Restaraunt welcomed women from diverse backgrounds and nationalities as they met in support of Democrat presidential candidate Vice-President Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Attendees noted the luncheon represented a first as Black and South Asian women joined forces to uplift each other and to potentially help elect the first female, Black/South Asian president.
