OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (KFOR) - An Oklahoma City woman received help from News 4 after a party supplier canceled on her wedding less than 24 hours before it was set to begin. "I thought I was going to have to cancel my wedding," said Darlene Wilson (now Asbery). She put in hundreds of dollars for a deposit but after the supplier OKC Tents and Moore canceled she didn't know how to get that money back. | CATCH UP HERE > 71-year-old woman scrambles after business cancels days before wedding > After a confrontation with the News 4's In Your Corner team Wilson had the check come to her in the mail. OKC Tents and Moore has many reviews online that complain about their services. Some reviews detailed mold on the tables and others discussed dirty chairs. But many of the reviews had one complaint in common and that was the customer service. "She should've apologized and just given me my money back," said Wilson. Wilson said she met the love of her life at the age of 71 and his name is Eugene. “He’s a kind, loving, great man. He is helpful, honest, and caring,” said Wilson. They set the date for their wedding for September 7 at the Ignite Global Church in Moore. But a day before the event OKC Tents and Moore told her they weren't doing it, the day of rehearsal they quit. “I called the number they gave me three times, I sent so many texts but nothing,” said Wilson. Then, she said an hour later one of the owners Monica Jozwika told her to push it back to 3 p.m., that they had gotten busy. “I made a statement that was like, you act like you don’t appreciate my business and she said, ‘Well, then it’s canceled,” said Wilson. She said they just stopped communicating with her. News 4 confronted the owner and asked what the issue was. The owner told News 4 to leave but not before they were asked, "When is she getting her money?" Wilson said the amount of time that passed between that confrontation and when she got her check made her know that it was because of it. "I finally got it in the mail and I was elated. I was so thankful that News 4 was able to push them into doing what's right," said Wilson. "I would advise anybody, if you need help with a problem like we had you need to call Channel 4 because they will be in your corner Dylan did a wonderful job, he was so personable and kind to me." The day that the follow-up interview was conducted Wilson said she and Eugene were going on their honeymoon. "Oh yeah, we're leaving tonight for our honeymoon so this is going to help us on our honeymoon to pay for it," said Wilson.
