Good afternoon and It's been a warm afternoon, especially for October. Highs across the state topped out in the low 80's and we saw an abundance of sunshine. Tonight temps will fall into the mid 60's under a mostly clear sky. Tomorrow will be another warm day with highs in the 80s, but a weak cold front will slide through the region in the afternoon, bringing much cooler temperatures to start the new work week. Lows Sunday night could fall into the lower 40s across the state. Now, let's discuss the tropics. Areas in the southeast of the US where Helene passed over still have over 400k without power. In the Gulf a new tropical system has formed and is tracking towards Florida. Due to the warm water temps and no major system to disrupt the system, Milton is expected to strengthen to a strong Category 3 Hurricane. The forecast has Mitlon tracking due east across the gulf and hitting the Florida Gulf coast sometime Wednesday. We will continue to track this Hurricane and provide updates throughout the weekend and week. Luckily, we will not see any impacts from Milton as it's expected to cross over Florida and move over the Atlantic. Our weather at home will be very dry and quiet.
