APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - On Friday and Saturday, Bergstrom Automotive held its annual 'Drive for a Cure' event at dealerships across the Fox Valley. After wrapping up on Saturday, the results started to trickle in, and they've now been totaled. According to a release, Bergstrom Automotive raised $40,750 through the weekend's events in Green Bay, Appleton and Oshkosh. The money will go to supporting breast cancer research programs in Wisconsin. ‘Operation Fill The Cruiser’ delivers over 10 tons of donations to Hurricane Helene victims, six semis en route from Wisconsin Of the money raised, a majority came from their guest test drives, with $32,500 coming from them, and the remaining $8,250 coming from donations and social media actions. Since the program started, it has raised over $660,000 for breast cancer research in the state, including the numbers from this weekend. St. Vincent de Paul officially opens second Appleton store "Thank you to all of the survivors, those battling breast cancer and supporters who attended the event," Bergstrom Automotive Executive Chairman John F. Bergstrom said via release. "We are extremely proud of our 500 team members who volunteered their time and grateful to our community for their unwavering support and contributions."
