WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita Police Department is investigating two separate shootings that happened in Wichita in the early hours of Saturday morning. The WPD said the first shooting happened around 2:46 a.m. near the intersection of Harry and Rock Road. Officers were dispatched to a shots fired call in the area. Shortly after, a woman, 19, walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound to her head. WPD said the woman was in critical but stable condition. Detectives are investigating. One hospitalized in rollover crash on I-135 in south Wichita early Saturday morning The second shooting happened three hours later, around 5:46 a.m., near the intersection of Skinner and Washington. Officers responded to that location, and a short time later, a victim, a 19-year-old woman, walked into a local hospital with a gunshot wound to her upper torso. She was in critical but stable condition. The WPD said the circumstances that led up to that shooting are still under investigation. WPD said the shootings are separate and unrelated cases.  Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Wichita Police Investigators at 316-268-4407.
