WASHINGTON (WAVY) -- President Biden has increased the amount of disaster assistance available to the Commonwealth, according FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell. The funds will supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by Hurricane Helene. Federal funding for debris removal and emergency protective measures will cover 100% of the total eligible costs for three months. The state will chose when the 90-day period begins.
