KCPD searching for suspect after man stabbed, killed in Northland home

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Police Department is searching for a suspect who stabbed and killed a man at a Northland home on Saturday morning.
According to KCPD, just before 11 a.m., officers were dispatched to a home near Northeast 105th Place and Hunter Drive in Kansas City, Missouri on reports of a "cutting."

Upon arrival, officers were taken to a nearby home where they found a man in a bedroom suffering from apparent stab wounds.
Emergency responders were called to the scene and pronounced the man dead.
According to preliminary investigations, a fight had started between two men inside the home. One of the men was said to be the victim.
KCPD said that the suspect left the scene before police arrived, however, they believe this is a "domestic violence incident."

At the moment, detectives have identified a person of interest and are working to find them.
It was confirmed that the case is being investigated as a homicide, and detectives and crime scene personnel are currently working on the scene to gather witness statements and evidence.
