ENFIELD, CT. (WWLP) - Saturday is the 16th annual Enfield Dog Park's Puppy Pride Fun Day at the Moose Lodge. At the Puppy Pride Fun Day, there will be contests for your four-legged family members, such as a hot dog eating contest, Best Kisser, Musical Sit/Stay, Cutest Dog, and a costume contest. Each contest requires registration and has a minimal fee to cover the costs. All dogs that attend the event should be well-behaved and current on vaccinations and licenses. Around 30 vendors will be selling different kinds of products, such as dog cookies, and birdhouses, and local pet shop, Naturally Dogs and Cats, will have free samples. Music, food, and raffles will also be provided. The Enfield Police Department's canine unit will demonstrate their skills, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet the current candidates for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the dog park. This is Enfield Dog Park's largest fundraiser of the year, and all of the proceeds benefit the daily operation of the self-funded park, which is run by a group of dedicated volunteers.
