The Friends of the Park City Library recently completed our Miner’s Day Used Book Sale and we are incredibly grateful for the contributions of our wonderful community.Friends of the Park City Library is a volunteer nonprofit that raises funds to enrich library offerings and services for all patrons. The popular book sales, held during the July 4 and Miner’s Day holidays, wouldn’t be possible without the donation of time from our generous volunteers. Dozens of Park City locals gave generously of their time to this event. We want to call out two groups in particular who provided invaluable help during the recent sale in moving thousands of books into place. The Young Men’s Service League Park City Chapter and two wonderful Park City police officers were amazing. The book sales provide our community with access to thousands of used books priced from $1 to $3. The sale proceeds flow directly into the library, providing even more opportunities for our community to come together. Our mission is to champion the Park City community through our exceptional library, and our amazing volunteers make it possible to fulfill that mission.Thank you to our wonderful volunteers, our engaged and informed community, our Friends of the Library sustaining members, and the Park City Library staff for continuing to make these events possible.Ann Whitworth and Cathy LaniganCo-Presidents, Friends of the Park City LibraryThe post Friends of Library grateful for help appeared first on Park Record.
