Inland Regional Center, which serves people with developmental disabilities, invites the community to its annual Fall Festival, to be held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Riverside Convention Center, 3637 Fifth St. This year’s Fall Festival has a Pokémon theme and will include a Pokémon costumecontest in addition to a variety of performances, booths, raffles and more, designed to celebrate the Inland Empire’s cultural diversity, according to a news release. The event also serves as a resource fair, providing an opportunity for Inland Regional Center vendors, local leaders, public programs, police departments and community-based organizationsto connect with the community and share resources. Admission is free. Inland Regional Center is partnering with the Department of Developmental Services, In-Roads Creative Programs Inc. and 24-Hour Home Care to present the Fall Festival. Inland Regional Center, with nearly 1,300 staff members, serves 53,000 people with developmental disabilities in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, according to the news release.
