MANSFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said it will be performing work on two bridges in Mansfield. The department will be performing reconstruction work on the George Street bridge over Copeland Street Sunday through Thursday starting at 8 p.m. to 5 p.m. from Oct. 6 to Oct. 25. Lane closures on Copeland Street northbound and southbound will be in place with at least one lane of travel on Copeland Drive utilizing one-way alternating traffic switching between northbound and southbound. MassDOT will also be installing traffic markings at bridges on Interstate 495 northbound and southbound over School Street from Oct. 7 to Oct. 11, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Lane closures will be in place on I-495 northbound and southbound with temporary traffic alterations such as one lane and shoulder closures as needed.
