LAPLACE, La. (WGNO) — An 11-year-old girl and an adult are dead following a double homicide that occurred on Friday, Oct. 4, in LaPlace. According to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to reports of shots fired at a home in the 1300 block of North Sugar Ridge Drive at 11:48 p.m., where they found three victims who had been shot. Two homicides being investigated in Tangipahoa Parish Two of the victims, an 11-year-old girl and a 50-year-old man, were declared dead at a local hospital after succumbing to their injuries. The third person was grazed by a gunshot. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call SJPSO Detective Sergeant Vince Smith at 504-494-3696 or 985-359-8763.
