Potential water rescue near UTEP turns into 'crime scene'

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- El Paso Police said they have responded to a potential water rescue on Saturday morning, Oct. 5 along the border near UTEP.
Police said they responded at about 8:15 a.m. to the 1700 block of West Paisano Drive to the reports of a water rescue.
El Paso Fire said they did respond to a potential water rescue, but they say it is now being called a "crime scene." Police are at the scene, they said.
This is an area where migrants have been known to cross the border and a place where other water rescues/recovery operations have happened.
