ELIZABETHTON, TN – Dolly Parton is helping victims of Hurricane Helene.
The country music legend announced Friday in Tennessee that she is donating $2 million toward relief efforts.
Helene caused major flooding and damage to a number of communities in Tennessee. Flood waters swept away 11 workers at a plastic factory.
Parton said this issue is personal to her because she has family members that have also been impacted by Helene.
“I really think that this is a time for me to step up, for all of us to step up, and do what we can,” Parton said.
